Costa Colour : The Sunkiss

The Sunkiss treatment is a unique Costa Del kapsalon application for lightning any type of hair with the most natural result.
What is it : it's a shampoo with hair lightning abilities that mimmics the way the sun, sea and beach bleaches your locks.
To get a little bit more technical here : Light travels trough your hair's cortex in a much different way then a chemical product can, a chemical product soaks into the shaft and works from the inside-out to lighten. Light however works from the outside in, creating a more natural look. Therefor the Sunkiss has a totally new and natural result coming from a tecnical/chemical process.
Who is it for : everyone with uncolored or already lightned hair. I find this treatment to be ideal for girls who want that natural beachy vibe. Or as a first colouring (As a gateway coloring if you'd like). Perfect also for men who want that "I-recently-re-invented-myself-on-a-2-month-long-surftrip" kinda style. If you, for example, repeat the process after six weeks or so you can go even blonder but maintain that "I woke up like this" feeling. The Sunkiss also works on previously dyed hair but will always leave a more unwanted brassy result because a synthetic pigment from a hair-dye is about 300-500 times bigger and more stubborn then any natural pigment. Sorry for the nerd-talk.
Extra nerd-talk : I got the inspiration for this technique from an ancient color-correcting method called color-washing, where a hair-dye over-developed and became to dark. The base of the shampoo is always a very nourishing shampoo with a high acidity. (This helps with not opening the hair-scales too much during the process and therefor create that sun-like result) and a lightning system called Sunglitz (An ammonia-free bleach created by Farouk Systems that tones the hair whilst lightning it at the same time).
We used this technique on our Costa Babe Joy Anna Thielemans. She's a natural blonde that just wanted to jazz up her own color. So we've been using this technique on her to gradually lighten her hair in a way that is still very natural looking. And now that her hair is this light we can play even more with toners. (Remember that infamous grey hair? Just a toner, washes right off.)
