How To Costa the Talk when you want to Costa the walk.

It is not always easy to tell your hair stylist what kind of hairstyle you're looking for. So we at the COSTA DEL are always willing to help you get the right message across. Because miscommunication? Ain't nobody got time for that!

Tip 1: Bring demonstration materials to your hair stylist

A picture is worth a thousand words. In a magazine or other publication you may have discovered a picture of the hairstyle you like to wear. You could bring this picture to your next appointment with your hair stylist. Moodboards are especially useful. We at Costa Del we like to help you get inspired by our weekly muses. Should you choose a hairstyle your hair stylist believes that's not suitable for you he/she will suggest alternatives. But a moodboard is generally a nice place to start.

Tip 2: Talk to your hair stylist about the hair style you want and need

During the first appointment with a new hair stylist you should indicate how much time you have for your styling routine each day. Are you usually in a hurry early in the morning and therefore need a wash-and-go type of hairstyle? Do you want to air dry your hair sometimes or are you quite handy with a blow-dryer, round brush and styling products? Talk about your lifestyle and indicate whether you work in a conservative or hip environment. In case you plan an extensive change of your hair style, you could ask for an extra consultation ahead of the appointment. Great minds usually think alike but an extra double-check never hurt nobody.

Tip 3: Styling Products

Ask your hair stylist about hair care products. Better yet, a great hairstylist will bring up the recommended products themselves. If you go full bleach a nice purple shampoo is mandatory. If you're recovering from a DIY went wrong a nourishing treatment could bring help. The hairstylist can put a collection of products together, which fit your hair structure and your desired style. Of course, you can also talk with your hair stylist about your favourite products you already use and how they are best applied. You may be surprised about the number of good tips you can take home with you. After all... sharing is caring!

Tip 4: Be honest!

Honesty pays! A few days after your salon visit you may find yourself unable to deal with the new hair style. A phone call is the best first step in handling the situation. A good hair stylist will always be a part of the solution. Wether its a touch up with a toner or an unruly bang that refuses to lay out straight. We got you! At Costa Del we only want happy customers.
