The inspiration for the Moka-lights came from my love for the darker roots (which add that rock and roll feeling) but also my desire to create a colour that was both fresh yet soft.
The technique exists of two facets, first the highlighting, then the counter-colouring. A client once asked my what I meant by counter-colouring. So I explained it with the example of putting cream in your coffee, softening both the taste and colour of your favourite beverage. That is how the name Moka-lights was born.
Before creating a new technique or application, we, at COSTA DEL, always make a mood-board so that the entire team is on the same page. We decided to also share that mood-board with you today.
